CANCER: HOMOEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT

The word Cancer always creates a feeling of Danger in Peoples mind. As there is No Perfect Cure in every case with exception in Modern Medical Science, it is considered to be an Incurable Malady. Generally, there are Palliative Treatments available in Modern Medical Science such as Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and if possible Surgical Intervention with expectancy of certain Life Period.

I am working on Cancer since long time with Homoeopathy. I am presenting a case of Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma of Left Parotid.

Mrs K P, 70 years, came to me on 12^th May 2015 with following complaints:

 

• Since 3 months…Left Temporal Tumor with severe Left Temple to Occipital Neuralgic Headache and not able to open the Left Eye associated with severe Nausea & Vomiting

• She was known Diabetic (insulin dependent) & having Thrombocytopenic Purpura

• Since 8 days, expectoration bloody

• Since 1 year, continuous numbness in both lower limbs < daytime; Pains in both Knees < Walking

• She has already consumed lot of Allopathic Medicines

• Advised Surgical Intervention & Chemotherapy followed by Radiotherapy

• Her health was not good enough to bear all these measures

• Blood Pressure: 177/87 mm Hg

Past History:

•      Pott’s Spine i.e. Tuberculosis of Spine 2008

•      Thrombocytopenic Purpura since 2002

•      Chronic Suppressed Eczema since childhood

•      Known Hypertensive and Diabetic since 2005

Personal History:

•      Reduced Appetite

•      Dreams: Frightful

Mental State:
Even though she was suffering from such a grave condition, she was laughing during the interview. She used to explain number of things with her own ideas and theories. She is quiet religious going to temple daily, doing regular fasts. She was not feeling well as I asked her to stay in Sangamner at her daughter’s place. She was arguing with me that Doctor how it looks to remain in Son in Law’s place. She said that she is quiet contented in her life.

Prescription (12 May 2015):

·       Diabetic Diet

·       Stopped Insulin

·       Asked her to go for a walk regularly

·       Aurum Met                  30               3 doses on day first

·       Ruta                               10M            BD for 15 days

·       Nux Vomica                  30               BD for 15 days

·       Bio-combination No.26                  BD for 15 days

Follow Up (25 May 2015):

·       Left eye opened

·       Appetite Improved

·       Nausea decreased; Vomited once

·       BSL: 166.45MG% (F); 184.15MG% (PP)

·       Blood Pressure: 153/78 mm Hg

Prescription:

·       Nux Vomica                            200             BD for 30 days

Follow Up (11 July 2015):

·       Occasional Left sided Headache

·       Anxiety, Conscience +++

·       Blood Pressure: 189/94 mm Hg

·       Eczema on Right LE increased & itching…
